Diary - Mid June 2014
I think we can all agree that the weather is glorious. Gilfach, beautiful whatever the climatic conditions has its own magnificent mantle of energy, is perhaps at its best.
The grass is lush and plentiful; the skies limitless, and the vibrancy of life in the valley breathtaking!
Bunny has very much established herself in her new home with her new "mummy". Great strides are being made in her initial training, and Bunny is doing a sterling PR job for the Sports Horse qualities of the Pure Bred Spanish Horse.
Larry, back for sale at Gilfach, has had a bit of a roller coaster time sale wise. We still look for that perfect home for, what some would consider, that perfect horse!
The tough, but necessary decision to actively market Tesoro, proceeds. A very tricky one for me, as Tez can do no wrong in my eyes! Its going to be a bit tough to hear that others might not quite agree? Or maybe they will?
McGee is proving to be a little diamond. With our careful and considerate training approach, McGee is happily working with Stella (a neighbouring young rider) both in the school and around the farm on hacks. McGee's maturity defies his quite tender years!
The lovely weather, the reduced horse numbers on the farm, and the moderation of Sheila's workload is allowing some lovely "chill out" time on this beautiful farm. The chicken, ducks and Fluffy, appreciate it too.
