Diary - Christmas/New Year 2012/13

After-Christmas Festivities!

The lull between Christmas and New Year is now here. Twinkling Christmas lights seem still to be OK, as is a fair share of Christmas spirit and wine, etc. before we all get on with 2013.

The Horses

Unfortunately our horses are feeling the effects of short days, dark nights and far too much rain. All are a bit peeved, grumpy, edgy. Roll on dry weather so that the Gilfach horses can enjoy a romp on real grass, rather than our fantastic (but still not the same) sand turn out areas.

Other Animals

A very generous friend gifted us a chicken coup for Christmas, and today we filled it with Miranda, Dawn, Jennifer and Shappi - the new members of the Gilfach team. If you are really lucky, your next visit to Gilfach will entitle you to sample Gilfach eggs!!

We hope you had a Merry Christmas, and will have a Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you to Gilfach in 2013.
