Diary - Early October 2012

Italian Summer!

Sheila and Hugh were lucky enough to enjoy an extra week of holiday this summer, in the Puglia region of Italy (the heel bit). Being "out of season", we had the place more or less to ourselves, and enjoyed Italy's version of the Maldives! Fantastic.

Back to Reality

On our return to Wales, we seem to have returned to Winter too. Although we seem to have got off lightly compared to other areas of Britain during the recent week of storms, it has meant that the horses are prematurely on Winter regime. All the stables are full during the night, and the sand-turn-out areas full during the day. We are hoping that this is not "it" for the next seven months!!

My Horses and other Animals

With Tesoro out of action at the moment, Jewel is receiving particular attention to her training. Jewel was introduced to the world of Classical Dressage Clinics, at another Danny Pevsner clinic. A very enjoyable and useful session was had by all.

With much sadness yet again this year, we have had to say good bye to our lovely Cat, who seems to have been knocked by a car (although we are not sure about this). A reminder to all who visit Gilfach to take care when maneuvering around our yard please.

We hope to welcome you to Gilfach soon.
