Diary - December 2013
Unusually, for Wales, we have been enjoying some nice sensible Winter weather recently. Some "polite' snowfall for a day, then generally dry and a little chilly. Still very beautiful though.
The horses continue to enjoy their daytime out on the grass, with the majority enjoying a steadily light work load to keep those muscles in tone.
The City & Guilds horse care diploma course has seen plenty of variety in the horses work load, with lunging practise, next will be long reining, and last weekend a trip to the indoor school at Llwynon Saddlery for an in-house dressage competition. Great fun was had by most (!), with all mucking in and out to make the morning a success - despite the unexpected and uninvited visitation by a fox, closely pursued by the hounds and hunt!!
Horatio continues to be kept in line by his gaggle of hens. Not what we imagined at all...
... is just around the corner. It is looking unlikely to be a white one, so here is a reminder of what our last white Christmas was like here at Gilfach (starring the lovely Larry).
