Diary (Christmas 2011)

Horses

Christmas passed our horses by peacefully this year! Unfortunately no deep, fresh snow to go out and kick one's heels up in (as was the case last year), more like mild drizzle - Yuk!

Alfie (pictured) and Tez were the recipients of some beautiful personalised Thermatex rug's from a very generous client. Alfie obligingly gave Hugh and Sheila (who shared the experience) a rather exuberant day-after-Boxing-Day ride out so that on his return he could wear his new magnificent rug!

McGee is serving his purpose well in keeping Lady Muc (Serenity) entertained now she is fully weaned from Firefly. He is going to be a little cracker!

The human team

All seem to have had a good Christmas, and as a team have kept the yard functioning beautifully during the festive period.

Other Animals

We have unfortunately lost dear Merry today. She certainly had a damned good innings, but timed her passing immaculately to ensure she got her fair share of Xmas turkey(!). We will miss her.

Happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you to Gilfach soon.
