Diary - Early April 2012
Now that Gilfach Equitation as we knew it has ended, a new feel to our lovely farm presides. The new feeling for me is sad, but OK, and given our limited options the best outcome.
The livery side of our business is being taken on by Leigh, whilst Lauren remains as our personal groom for the wonderful Gilfach horses that remain with us. So a peaceful calm exists, helped no end by the extremely summery weather just gone.
The regime of chemotherapy seems to be treatment, feel awful for 7 to 10 days, feel a bit better for a week, feel well again for a few days, then chemo ... and so and and so forth. Despite all of this, Hugh is managing to hold the fort on all counts admirably, and is being a superb "carer" when needed.
The Team of friends, neighbours and clients, family, and even those we haven't met yet, are being more than just supportive, and continue to humble me.
New homes are being sought for Limonero, Jewel, Serenity and McGee. In the mean time we are enjoying working/being with these wonderful horses, and cherish each moment.
Thank you again, for all your kind wishes, thoughts and prayers.
